Kofi Annan arrives in Maldives
UN Secretary General Mr Kofi Annan has arrived in Maldives on January 9 at noon.
Annan will visit Kolhufushi island in Meemu Atoll and Vilufushi island of Thaa Atoll on Monday, January 10. Both islands were devastated by the tsunami.
Annan, the first UN Secretary General to visit Maldives, arrived after visiting Sri Lanka, in his tour of the countries affected by the tsunami.
